François was born about 1780 (listed as 44 at time of death in 1824). His place of birth is unknown.
Known children (original spelling)
François Gaouet, husband of Agathe Bélanger, died 26 Feb 1824 and was buried on the 28th in Maskinongé, the record giving him 44 years of age, journalier de son vivant (day labourer in life).[2]
He does not appear to have used the name Ladurantaye in life, it is only used by his sons after his death on their marriages.
The family is all over the map from one baptism to the next, and he is listed as a day labourer on funeral record, so may have been itinerant worker. His son Joseph's baptism states he is resident of Grondines. His son François baptism lists him as a fisherman, resident of that parish (La Malbaie). His daughter Marguerite's baptisms lists him as a voyageur of that parish (Yamaska). Jean Olivier's baptism only states residence in that parish (St-Paul-de-Lavaltrie). Étienne's baptism has both parents being journalliers (day labourers) in that parish (Maskinongé).
The name is Gaouette or Gargouette and variations in spelling, it actually still exists as Gaouette, although fairly rare. Not Caouette.

Encore là, aucun mariage trouvé ni sépulture pour Marie Anne Sylvestre
Dubious:
