Joseph Garber was born in 1864 in Augusta, Virginia, United States, son of Eli Abraham Garber (1838 - 1908) and Elizabeth Landes (1840 - 1874).

His siblings were:

Joseph died in Nov 1864 in Augusta aged ~0. He is buried in Middle River Church of the Brethren Cemetery, New Hope, Virginia.[1]
