• In 1930, Lee Garcia, age 8, lived in Rugby, Las Animas, Colorado, with his father, Waldo Garcia, age 33, a farmer, who owned his farm; and with his mother, Vera Garcia, age 27; and with Lee's siblings: Bennie Garcia, age 12; Mike Garcia, age 9; Mary Garcia, age 6; and Florentine Garcia, a newborn sister; along with Frank Falsetti, age 26, a digger for a coal mine; and presumably Lee's uncle who was also boarding with the family.^[4]
• In 1940, Lee Garcia, age 18, lived in Aguilar, Las Animas, Colorado, with his father, Waldo Garcia, age 44, a foreman for the county garage; and with his mother, Elvira Garcia, age 37; and with Lee's siblings: Mike Garcia, age 19; Mary Garcia, age 16; Ralph Garcia, age 6; and Frank Garcia, age 2.^[5]
