In 1930, Lee Garcia, age 8, lived in Rugby, Las Animas, Colorado, with his father, Waldo Garcia, age 33, a farmer, who owned his farm; and with his mother, Vera Garcia, age 27; and with Lee's siblings: Bennie Garcia, age 12; Mike Garcia, age 9; Mary Garcia, age 6; and Florentine Garcia, a newborn sister; along with Frank Falsetti, age 26, a digger for a coal mine; and presumably Lee's uncle who was also boarding with the family.[4]
In 1940, Lee Garcia, age 18, lived in Aguilar, Las Animas, Colorado, with his father, Waldo Garcia, age 44, a foreman for the county garage; and with his mother, Elvira Garcia, age 37; and with Lee's siblings: Mike Garcia, age 19; Mary Garcia, age 16; Ralph Garcia, age 6; and Frank Garcia, age 2.[5]
Military Service
Lee Garcia served as SSGT in the US Army during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Enlistment Date 1: 21 May 1940. Release Date 1: 1 Nov 1945. Enlistment Date 2: 1 Feb 1954. Service End Date: 31 Jul 1966.[6][7]
Death
Lee W. Garcia died 31 Mar 1983 (aged 61) in Denver, Denver, Colorado, and he was interred at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Denver County, Colorado, USA.[8][9]
