Julia was born in 1860 in Chelsea, Middlesex, England. [1]
She was the daughter of George Gard, a painter, and Sarah A. Gard.
In the England and Wales Census, 1871 [2] she is 11, living with parents George (50) a painter, and Sarah (46), brother William (21) a plasterer, sister Alice (9) and brother Henry (4) at Fulham, London.
On 25 Feb 1891 at the Congregational Church in Williamstown, Victoria, Australia, James Thomas Hookham and Julia Elizabeth Gard were married.[3]
In May 1958 Julia Hookham passed away in Wellington, New Zealand, aged 97 [4]
