Thank you, Ellen, for your good research. I added this branch to my family tree when I was a newby and didn't know the value of sources. Someone else told me the information came from the "Records of the Reformed Dutch Church at Albany, Holland Society Year Books 1905/10, 1904 pp 11). Baptisms in the Reformed Dutch Church, New York, New York." I have never gotten around to further research. I trust what you have found and am in full agreement with this merge. If you need me to act on it to complete the merge, let me know.
Gardinier-16 and Gardenier-43 appear to represent the same person because: The sources identified on Gardinier-16 include a baptism record from the NY RDC and other records from the Albany church. The only records I find in the referenced sources for a Cornelia Gardenier baptized in 1693 in NY or later events in Albany are the ones for Gardenier-43. I think these both represent the same Cornelia Gardenier. The baptism record gives her father's name as Gardenier, so Gardenier is her proper LNAB.
The records I've seen do not have the birthdate (just the baptism date) and do not identify Yonkers as her birthplace, but they do say she was born in Westchester county (Yonkers is in Westchester). What is the source for the specific birthdate and the specific location of Yonkers?
