Biography

Arie was born before 14 August 1698 when he was baptized at the Reformed Dutch Church of Albany. He is the son of Andries Gardenier and Eytje Aires.[1]

He married Elizabeth Van Slyck on 8 January 1723 at the Reformed Dutch Church of Albany.[2]

According to Jacobus and Waterman (Volume 2, Addenda page 689; see below), Johanna Gardenier (Gardenier-134) was the eldest child of Arie, and is mentioned in the will of her brother William of Kinderhook. They source this to unpublished manuscripts by Innes Getty of Yonkers, NY. Please add this parent-child relationsip.
