Biography
Josefina was born in Pajala 19 August 1863. She was the daughter of Gustaf Vilhelm Gardin and his wife Sofia Ulrika.[1] Her mother died in 1871.[2]
August Karlsson-Karlsén lived in Gällivare for some time and married Josefina Gärdin there 9 July 1893.[3] In 1895 the family came from Gällivare to Degerfors. August worked at the railway station. They had at least five children.[4]
In 1901 August Karlsson-Karlsén became a postmaster in Överluleå and brought his family with him.[5] They bought a homestead in Svartbjörsbyn and August wored as a train conductor.[6] Eventually he became train master.[7]
When August Karlsson-Karlsén retired in 1927, the family moved south to Frustuna parish. He died there 18 May 1933.[8]
After the death of her husband, widow Josefina Karlsén moved to Enskede, where she still lived in 1940.[9]
