Baptised St. Martin in the Fields, London. Mother Laetitia (Lettice) Boyd of Dublin (1663-1707), father John Gardiner. Her mother married firstly William Boyd, 2nd Earl of Kilmarnock (1663-1692) and secondly Colonel John Gardiner. Charlotte was the half sister of William Boyd, 3rd Earl of Kilmarnock, Thomas Boyd, Margaret or Mary Boyd.
Charlotte married firstly William Wright "Minister of the Gospel at Kilmarnock" on Mar 7, 1720 in Kilmarnock Ayr Scotland (or Edinburgh) and together they had children: Laetitia (Lettice) Wright b1722, Elizabeth Wright b1723, and William Wright b1724. Her husband William died in 1724.
Charlotte married secondly Rev Laurence Hill Dec 12, 1727 in Kilmarnock.

"In the letter...by 'Old John' Dunlop to Laurence Hill LL.D., he writes "It appears, therefore, that Mrs Laurence Hill, Barony Parish, was sister uterine to William, 3rd Earl of Kilmarnock, but besides by herself, by her mother Laetitia Boyd, she was related to the Kilmarnock family."[1]
