Harold Richard Gardiner was born on 11th January 1912 at Paddington, New South Wales, Australia. He was the third son of William Gardiner and Ethel Antill.[1]
He married Bertha Toomey in 1935 at Sydney, New South Wales.[2]
He served in the 2nd Australian Imperial Force during the Second World War; enlisted 29th May 1940, discharged 6th February 1941.[3] He was a member of the 2/15th Field Company, Australian Engineers.[4] [5]
He passed away in 1975.[6]
