Biography

Thomas Gardner was baptized Oct. 14, 1705, the son of Abel Gardner and Sarah Porter of Salem, Massachusetts[1] [2]

He married Eunice Waters, the daughter of John and Mary Waters of Salem, Massachusetts[3] [4] [5] [2] [6]. Their children, all born in Salem, included:

  1. Eunice, d. Thomas and Eunice, b. ––– ––, 1729[7] [8], who married Jeremiah Allen in 1748[9]
  2. Thomas, s. Thomas and Eunice, bp. Feb. 13, 1731-2[10] [11], who married Mary Buffinton in 1755[12]
  3. Mary, d. Thomas and Eunice, bp. July 14, 1734[13] [14]
  4. Ebenezer, s. Thomas and Eunice, bp. Sept. 4, 1737[7] [8]
  5. Sarah, d. Thomas and Eunice, bp. July 6, 1740[10] [11], who married John Walcut in 1761[15]
  6. Israel, s. Thomas and Eunice, bp. July 22, 1744[16] [17]

Thomas died about 1753 in Salem[3]
