Agnes was born in 1917. She passed away in 2006.
Agnes R. Brown passed away on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006. The former Agnes Gardner was born on Nov. 25, 1917, to John H. and Mary Ellen (Larkin) Gardner. She was a 1935 graduate of Mauston High School and a 1936 graduate of Juneau County Normal. On Nov. 15, 1938, she was united in marriage to Arthur P. Brown. He preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1990. Agnes was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Survivors include a son, Robert A. (Joyce) of Sun Prairie; a daughter, Mary Ellen (Michael) Imse of Mequon; three grandchildren, Heather and Marc Brown and Matthew Arthur Kroeger; nieces and nephews; and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Helen J. and Mary B.; and her brother John, Jr. Agnes has willed her body to the UW Anatomy Department.
