Biography

Sarah Jane Gardner was born on 7 October 1837 in New York. She was the daughter of John Gardner and Ann Spencer.

Sarah married Edward Ross-Lewin in 1858.

Edward and Sarah had at least two daughters:

1. Ida Louise Ross-Lewin m Daniel B Kehler
2. Jennie Sarah Ross-Lewin m Frank Lyne Markey

In the 1880 census, Sarah and Edward were living in Fort Wayne, Indiana with their two daughters.^[1]

Sarah Ross-Lewin died on 17 May 1908 in Fort Wayne, Allen, Indiana. She was buried in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.^[2]
