Paul was born in 1946. He was the son of Paul Gardner and Clara (Brannan) Gardner.

Paul E. Gardner, age 60, of Jackson Twp. passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2006. Paul was born May 25, 1946 in Massillon to Paul M. and Clara (Brannan) Gardner. He was a 1964 graduate of Jackson High School. After school he served in the Marines in Viet Nam and received an honorable discharge. He was a long time employee of Republic Steel and Superior Meats and recently by Republic Engineered Products in Lorain. Paul was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the St. Mary's Choir, K of C #554, and Bishop Massillon Assembly 4th Degree. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul M. in 1968. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carolyn (Simon) Gardner of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Troy and Pamela Gardner and Paul C. and Alana Gardner all of Jackson Twp.; mother and step-father, Clara and David Turske of Phoenix; step-mother, Nancy Gardner of Jackson Twp.; brothers and sister, Gerald, Fredric, and Paula Gardner; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jacob, Nathan and Miranda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 A.M. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Edward Gretchko officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Garden.^[1]
