Susannah was born in 1833 when her parents lived in South Carolina. She was the daughter of Marmaduke Gardner and Rhoda Ussery. [1]
She married Nathaniel Lankford and in 1860 they lived in Shoeboota, Clarke county, Mississippi [1860 U.S. Fed. Census] although their daughter Elie Hamilton Lankford was born 18 December 1858 in Milam county, Texas. [Texas Death Certificate]
She passed away after 1879.
