Jonathan (#73) [1] was born in Salem Massachusetts in 1698. He served several functions in his home town.

He married Elizabeth, daughter of John and Elizabeth (Weld). Elizabeth was the sister of John Gardner, great-aunt of Elizabeth (Gardner) Blanchard, and the mother of all of Jonathan's children.

Jonathan had two subsequent marriages.
