Mrs. Cordelia Holeton died Thursday, January 4, 1934, the result of a stroke which she suffered a week previous. Cordelia Gardner was born 77 yrs. ago last April, on the Baker farm west of the city. the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Gardner, she and her twin sister being the youngest of a family of thirteen children. She was married to William Wallace Holeton on November 8, 1876. Mr. Holeton was a veteran of the Civil War and died some forty years ago. A son William, an invalid for over twenty years, was tenderly cared for by his mother until his death less than two years. Mrs. Holeton is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Clara Townsend, a son Dexter Holeton, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren, also by a brother John Gardner 85, of Frederick, Wis. and her twin sister Mrs. Cornelia Rabuck of LaValle. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Church of God and burial was made in the Geenwood cemetery.
