Notes

Is Theophilus related to William and Catherine Gardner? First property purchase in 1810 was from them. Also, named as witness is Christopher Insley, the son-in-law of William and Catherine Gardner and the husband of Eleanor Gardner. Second property transaction is a quit claim by John Gardner, son of William and Catherine who was by this time living in NY with his young wife Jane Cortanch. Third property transaction, Theophilus sold to Ralph Runyon. Ralph Runyan is the husband of Sarah Ann Gardner, granddaughter of William and Catherine Gardner and daughter of James Gardner. Witness Tunis Smith. Is Tunis Smith is related to Hannah Smith, wife of Theophilus? Fouth property transaction - bought property from William Scott - probably the son of Robert Scott, husband of Sarah Gardner, the daughter of Catherine and William Gardner.
