Biography

Bessie, daughter of James A Gardner & Mattie Jane Mc Curdy, was born on 8 March 1878 in Sidney, Fremont, Iowa.[1][2]

Bessie (age 19) married James Oliver Evans (age 31) on 12 April 1897 in Mills, Iowa.[3][4] To this marriage, 10 children were born:

  1. Nellie Edith Evans – 5 January 1900[5] - 1904[6]
  2. Robert Emett Evans – 16 October 1901[7] - 11 July 1955[8]
  3. Lucile (Evans) Dreyer – 2 May 1903[9] - 25 November 1984[10]

  5. Margaret Berniece (Evans) Howard – 31 August 1907[13] - 2 July 2002 [14][15][16]
