Rachel Gardner was born on 3 Aug 1661 to Capt. John Gardner and Priscilla Grafton.

She married James Gardner, son of Richard Gardner and Sarah Shattuck, after 1696; his 2nd wife, Rachael Brown, widow of John.

After James' death, Rachel married John Browne, son of John Browne and Hannah Hubbard on 1 Aug 1686
