Ruby and her sister Minny (Miriam) were great pals and did many thing together. They shared a love of horses and were excellent riders. They competed in the Calgary Horse Shows, with Minny usually getting first prize for jumping and showing, with Ruby second.
"Now, Miss Ruby" the show announcer would say, "you go out and win this time." But try as she might she seldom beat Minny.
Minnie and Ruby lived with their parents in Calgary, Alberta in 1916. [1]
