Biography

Jonathan was born in 1724 and is the son of Stephen Gardner and Amie Sherman. He married Mary Houghton. He married, second, Abiah Fitch. Jonathan served in the Revolutionary War under Captain Waterman in the 20th Connecticut Regiment.
