Biography

Stephen was born about 1775 and Christened 24 December, 1775 in Aldington, Kent. He is the son of Matthew Garner and Sarah.[1]

Stephen married Mary Millen 2 Jun 1800 in Aldington, Kent, England. Together Stephen and Mary had children Robert (1811) and Elizabeth (1815).

The 1841 Census records Stephen aged 65, living in an outbuilding with a wife Ann, 50, in Aldington. He is recorded as being an agricultural labourer. The household Nicolas Vyland, 14, also and agricultural labourer, Caroline Vyland, 11 and Mather Vyland, 9.[2]

He passed away in 1849. His death is registered in East Ashford[3]
