Pierre Gareau was born on 24 Sep 1782 in Quebec. His parents were Joseph Gareau and Marie Brouillet. He married Marguerite Menard on 22 Feb 1813 in Chambly.
Pierre and his family eventually made there way to Clinton County, New York and stayed there for a few years. They later moved to Wisconsin.
He passed away after 1870 in Wisconsin.

I believe this to be Joseph Garrow's father. His obituary names Pierre with the names Garrow and Gareau and his wife as Marquette Menard Garrow Gareau.
