Biography

Leonide (Gariepy) Gardipee was a Canadian First Peoples and member of the Metis Nation.

When Leonide Gariepy / Gardipee was born on June 2, 1852, in St François Xavier, Manitoba, his father, Louis, was 24 and his mother, Marie, was 20. He married Marguerite Pelletier and they had one daughter together. He then married Marie Rose "Gone by-The-Wind" Larocque and they had eight children together. He died on October 26, 1927, in Cascade, Montana, USA, at the age of 75.
