Louis was first married to Geneviève Letartre, daughter of Charles Letartre and Marie Maheu, on 31 Jan 1701 in L'Ange-Gardien. There were no children from this marriage and Geneviève died soon after. He remarried with Catherine Aubert, widow of Francois Lépine, with whom he had several children.

Louis died between 25 June 1736 and 30 Jan 1741, as he was deceased when his son of the same name married in 1741 but still living on prior marriage date of his daughter Barbe.
