Biography

Frank was born in 1896. He is the son of Frank Gariepy and Delphine Roi. His middle name might be spelled Aimie.[1]

According to his WWI Veterans record, he died in June of 1959. (The date on the record was his discharge date following WWI.) He was a private. [2]

Frank died in Salt Lake City in 1959 and is buried there. He has a military gravestone and, in spite of the variant spelling of his surname, the dates of birth and death match. [3] [4]

It also appears that Frank may have been married to a Louise B. Garriepy, with a daughter Madeleine. [5]

Frank's death record in Utah confirms his dates of birth and death, and lists his parents as Francois Garriepy and Delphine Roy. If his wife, Louise Voisenet, was French, that would explain the French version of his father's name. At the time, Frank had been working as a correctional officer in a state prison, and he had been living in Utah for some 8 years. [6]
