Biography
Arthur Garland lived in Āwhitu, Auckland, New Zealand.
Edward was born in 1884, the son of Edward and Eusebia Garland. He passed away unexpectedly in 1907 following a driving accident.
The death notice read:
- GARLAND— December 19, at Hawera Hospital, consequent upon an accident, Arthur, the beloved son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Garland, of Arthur-street, Ponsonby, aged 22 1/2 years. Deeply regretted. (NEW ZEALAND HERALD, VOLUME XLIV, ISSUE 13626, 20 DECEMBER 1907)
Funeral information was noted separately:
- Mr. Arthur Garland, the eldest son of Mr. Edward Garland, of Ponsonby, died yesterday at the Hawera Hospital, aged 22 years. Death was consequent upon a driving accident which took place on the 3rd inst. at Manaia. The body will be brought up to Onehunga, interment taking place at Awhitu.
