In the 1851 census, William Garlick (53), a Cord Wainer, was head of household at Much Park Street, St. Michaels parish, Coventry. Also present were his wife Hannah (46), and sons Alfred (16), an Apprentice Cord Wainer, and "Henry" (11), a Scholer (sic). All present were born in Coventry.
