Shirley was born in 1921. She was the daughter of Michael Garmaise and Esther Weisman. She married Harry Dubin in 1941.^[1] She died in 2013.

DUBIN, Shirley (nee Garmaise)
On Monday, May 27, 2013, at the age of ninety-two. Devoted wife of the late Harry Aaron Dubin for almost seventy years. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Gerald and Dang Dubin, Esteranne Dubin and Gary Lerner, Lois Dubin and Benjamin Braude. Cherished grandmother of Lara Dubin and Adam Donnelly, Nathan and Michelle Dubin, Daniel and Andrea Dubin; Rachel Braude, Naomi Braude. Proud great-grandmother of Isaac, Autumn, Ella and Evan Donnelly. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Lily and Hy Pascal, David and Edith Garmaise, Flora and Lou Malus, Rose and Hy Ancel, Bernard and Pearl Garmaise, Pearl and Jack Pascal, Hymie and Terry Garmaise, Anne Garmaise, and Claire Garmaise. Dear sister-in-law of Irma and the late Michael, the late Isadore, the late David and the late Doris Dubin. Shirley will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and all who knew her. Heartfelt gratitude to Trisha Felgar, Necita Ramones, Doreen San Juan, Josephine Lelina, Carlene Haughton, Mary Panno and the caring staff of Maimonides Geriatric Centre. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, May 28 at 2 p.m. Burial at the Shaare Zedek Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield.
