DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Ann by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Ann:
Garnett-1267 and Garnett-101 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, same husband, similar dates. Garnett-1267 is unlinked apart from husband
Garnett-1267 and Garnett-101 do not represent the same person because: I think I need to do more research on this line. The Ann Foster's appear to be the same however the Thomas husband seems to be different. The 2 Thomas' have different parents, different children, grandchildren with her. Instead of merging Ann's now, I suggest we hesitate until we can determine the correct lines.
The two profiles were unmerged matched when I proposed the merge. I have reset them to UM to alert people that they may represent the same person. The two husband profiles are similar, but they cannot be merged because the parents are different. Probably one or the other set of parents is wrong. But, which one?
I just noticed that this Ann has a sister, Ann (Garnett) Noel (1728-abt.1768), with the same given name. They are obviously not the same person. This makes me wonder if they are both actually children of the same parents. If this is correct as it stands, a research note to that effect would be helpful to others looking at this profile and the profile of the other Ann.
