Hello,

I just noticed that this Ann has a sister, Ann (Garnett) Foster (1720-1790) with the same given name. They are obviously not the same person. This makes me wonder if they are both actually children of the same parents. If this is correct as it stands, a research note to that effect would be helpful to others looking at this profile and the profile of the other Ann.

His will mentions daughters Anne, and Avey, also spelled Avie in the same document. As we know, spelling didn’t count back then, even for those few who weren’t illiterate. Avie especially could have been mistaken for Anne. I’ll leave that to the Garnetts to sort out. But there are still two Anns married to my John Noel/ Noell/Nowell. Let’s sort that out, okay?😍

Ann shouldn't be married to two men with the same name, should she?

Thanks, Julie. There are two Johns - Noel/Noell - and I proposed a merge. I went back to James, father of Ann Garnett’s husband and documented it in the Notes section. I unlinked the other John that was linked to her. He was the son of Daniel.
