In 1841 Mercy Hubbard (age 33-37) lived at Brudenell Place in Shoreditch with her husband Joseph (39-43) and six children: Susannah (11), Isabella (10), Joseph (8), Eliza (5), Penelope (3), and Louisa (1), as well as Amelia Green (13).[3]
In 1851 Mercy Hubbard (age 44) lived at Grove Hill Terrace in St Giles Camberwell, Surrey with her husband Joseph J (49, Solicitor) and eleven children: Susanna (21), Isabella (20), Joseph (18, Articled Clerk), Elizabeth (15), Penelope (13), Louisa (10), Thomas (8), David (7), Alice (5), Alfred (3), and Emma (2), as well as three servants: Mary Sellar (23), Martha Sellar (22), and Jane Drudge (20).[4]
In 1861 "Mary Halbard" (age 54) lived at Clapton East Side, St John Hackney, London with her husband Joseph J (59, ...) and nine children: Isabella (30), Elizabeth (2[25]), Penelope (22), Louisa (21), Thomas (18, Scholar), David (16, Scholar), Alice (15, Scholar), Alfred (13, Scholar), and Emma (12, Scholar), as well as two servants: Susannah Seuner (20, Housemaid) and Emma Edwards (23, Cook).[5]
Mercy Hubbard passed away on 21 May 1864. Her death was registered in Hackney in the second quarter of the year.[6] She was buried on 28 May 1864[7] at West Norwood Cemetery and Crematorium in Lambeth, London.[8]
