Research Notes
There are several spellings of this last name in Georgia, Garnto as is used by Nathan Garnto. Though enumerators and scribes have mixed the spellings up, there is a Logue Garnto Cemetery in Wrightsville, Johnson County, Georgia. Garnto is one of the dominant spellings on headstones. This creates confusion with records and family lines. Researchers are cautioned to check very closely to maintain integrity of an individual line. ~~
