Lucinda May was the youngest sister of Sallie (Sally) Garr, who had married Leonard Brooks in 1892. Sallie had two children with Leonard, Floyd & Millie. Sallie sadly died in 1899 in childbirth with their 3rd child. Lucinda May then married Leonard in 1902, and had three sons with Leonard Brooks - Roy Brooks in 1902, Walter Brooks in 1907, and Elmer Brooks in 1910. In 1911, Leonard had Lucinda committed to Northern State Hospital in Sedro Woolley, Washington for "dementia", where she remained until she died of tuberculosis 16 Feb 1928.
