DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Samuel by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Samuel:

This is patriarch of the Verbryck name and all Verbrycks trace back to him. Wife Ida Barents Ryder. Looking at church records, having trouble getting dates and offspring to match up. There is Gerret Verbrijck and wife Wijkof having two sons, 1722 and 1725; then Barnardus Verbryck and wife Jannetje Schenck have at least four children 1722-1732. These are likely to be sons of Samuel Gerretsen Verbryck, yes?

Still desperately seeking MY Samuel Gerritsen, Garrison, etc.

Disconnecting him from Gerritsen-6 as a father, he was the son of another Gerrit, a Gerrit Remmerson.
