Winfred was born in Texas in 1895 to Henry Garrett and Maggie Perkins. He married twice, the first time to Ira Delia Crawford at age 22 who died when he was 50. He married 2 years later to Burtle (Bowles) Linch, a widow. They are each buried with their respective first spouses. Winfred passed away in 1971 at 76 years old.
