Biography

1776 Project
John Garrett served with 3rd Maryland Regiment (1776), Continental Army during the American Revolution.

John was born about 1758 to Unnamed Father Garrett. He and his brother, Leonard, served together in the 3rd Maryland Reg. and were with George Washington in Valley Forge.

In 1814, Calland area, Pittsylvania County, Virginia, John owned 25 acres.
