Providence was the name of the town when Silas was born around 1730. It was not renamed to Fairfax until in 1859. Also, in 1730, Virginia was not a US state yet, but was known as the Colony of Virginia, of Great Britain.

Garrett-892 and Garrett-6006 appear to represent the same person because: While the DOBs differ, the death date and spouse are the same and these are the same person.

Garrett-6006 and Garrett-6327 appear to represent the same person because: To be more clear ..this Silas Garrett married to Nancy Young was the son of Joseph G. and Margaret Prince. I reset his profile to the proper Garrett 6006 , once the merge is completed. Thank you.

Garrett-6006 and Garrett-6327 do not represent the same person because: There are two sons with the name of Silas Garrett. Fathers were also different.
