Byron Arlington Garrett was the second child of Elvira Berdina (French; 1877-1938) and Jesse Ephraim Garrett (1877-1952). He was born 12 August 1908 on the family homestead farm near Apulia Station, Fabius Township, Onondaga County, New York. He was counted at 1 year of age in the 27 April 1910 dated census of Fabius Township [1].
Arlington Garrett preferred to be addressed by his middle name, and formally as B. Arlington Garrett, evidenced by census and other records tracing his life [2],[3],[4],[5].
He married 13 Jul 1934 at Apulia Station, New York, Sophronia Ruth "Billie" Abbott [6],[7] [1909 - 1996; daughter of Addie A (Craw; 1873-1950) and Fred Lewis Abbott (1868-1951)]. Four children proceeded from this union. They continued to reside on the Garrett family homestead, along with Arlington's father, Jesse.
B. Arlington Garrett was a member of the Fabius Township court since 1951, serving as Judge.
Judge B. Arlington Garrett died 13 January 1977 near Tully, New York. Cause of death was a tragic vehicular accident. His grave is in Tully Cemetery, Tully, Onondaga County, New York, USA [8].
Notes
I met Arlington Garrett once, when I was in my late teens. My impression was of stability, commitment to civil human behavior {John French Ph.D.}.
