Biography

When Benjamin Franklin Garrett was born on June 2, 1818, in Laurens, South Carolina, his father, Thomas, was 31 and his mother, Sarah, was 28. He married twice - first to Elizabeth Motes about 1841 and then he married Adaline Stephens about 1871 or after. He died on July 6, 1899, in his hometown, having lived a long life of 81 years, and was buried in Gray Court, South Carolina.
