Notes

I just took a closer look at the two German sources below which were the basis of the creation of this record (not by me). The first one does not mention Pierre at all and the second one (German Wikipedia) includes the disproven claim of Matthieu Garrigues (abt.1679-1726)'s father being Jean Garrigues (1660-). The third source, Edmund Garrigues, also has the disproven information.

Robert Garrigus discusses this flawed research regarding Matthieu and Jean^[1], but cites Walloon Church records of Magdeburg and records in Mazamet as sources for Pierre, his brother Moyse, and his father Jacques^[2], but I have not seen them.

It is interesting that Jean (Garigue) Garigue dit Languedoc (abt.1689-1726)'s father may have been named Pierre as that is a completely separate source. Including him as a son here is speculation.
