Biography

Margaretha Gehlsen was born in 1846, the daughter of Peter Gehlsen and Anna Margaretha Rief. She was married at Erfde in 1868 to Jürgen Carstens. She passed away at Aspinwall, Iowa in 1919.

The profile and FAG entry listd Margaretha's birth date as 19 Jan 1846, but but the Erfde church book entry lists it at 19 Jan 1847.
