Biography

Laura P. Garrison was born on 22 Mar 1813 at Schodack, Rensselaer County, New York, the third child of Huldah Brockway and John Garrison.

Laura married George Marshall and they had a son named George Henry Marshall. After a time they 'parted' and Laura lived with her parents until she married Francis W. Barlow in 1937

Her marriage to Francis W. Barlow occurred in Jan 1837 at Schodack, Rensselaer County, New York. F.W. Barlow was the son of E. Barlow and Jane Barlow.

Laura and F. W. moved westward using the Erie Canal and the Great Lakes and settled at Greenwood, McHenry County, Illinois. Laura and F. W. had two daughters born in Illinois.

Laura passed away on 7 Feb 1869, suffering from asthma, on 7 Feb 1869 in McHenry County and is buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood, McHenry County, Illinois.
