Biography

When James was 24 he married Agnes Pedigo on 21 March 1821 in Barren Co KY. The couple had 11 children: Mary Morane Garrison, Marinda Garrison, John R Garrison, James Green Garrison, William Garrison, Charles B Garrison, Sarah Frances Garrison, Martha Jane Garrison, Joseph O Garrison, Lewis F Garrison and Willis W Garrison.^[1]

Bondsman for the marriage of his brother-in-law, Elijah Pedigo aand Frances (Harper) Meredith.

Possibly a son of Shadrach Garrison. From Catherine (Prophit) Demers:

Shadrach GARRISON posted the bond for the 1815 Barren Co. KY marriage of Benjamin GARRISON, son of RWS James + Ester (Roberts) GARRISON, to Susannah King. Under Shadrach's signature on the bond document, he wrote the words "his Oncle". Thus, it appears that Shadrack GARRISON may have been a brother of RWS James GARRISON.
