The census of 1851 shows that the family was living on Lower Street, Walton, Suffolk, England. [1] The members of the family were:
- John Garrod, head, age 37, ag lab, born in Walton
- Hannah Garrod, wife, age 29, born in Newbourne, Suffolk
- Louesia Garrod, daughter, age 4, born in Walton
- James Garrod, son, age 2, born in Walton
- Susannah Garrod, stepdaughter, age 9, born in Nacton, Suffolk
- Thomas Garrod, brother, unmarried, age 19, ag lab, born in Walton
It is apparent that Hannah was John's second wife.
He passed away in 1859.
