Biography
Mary Dochie Alethea Garstin , known as Alethea, was born in 1894. She was the daughter of Norman Garstin and his wife Louisa Fanny Jones. She followed her father in becoming an exhibited painter, first shown at the Royal Academy in London in 1912 when she was aged 18. She passed away in 1978.[1]
