Amos P. Garth, son of Jesse Thomas Garth and Mary Ann Elizabeth Snipes, was born in October 1859 in Warren County, Tennessee. He passed away in December 1955 in Ellis County, Texas and is buried in Flower Mound Cemetery, Denton County, Texas.
Amos and Amanda left Tennessee about 1896 and settled in Ellis County. In their household are children Mollie, Grover, Charles, Tom, Arthur, Fred, and Lyda. One child died before 1900, but I have not identified that child.
