Biography

Ella May Gartrell was born about August 1870 in Missouri,[1] the daughter of James Richard Gartrell and Laura Pritchett. She married Benjamin N. Ocheltree on 25 April 1888 at Kirksville, Adair County, Missouri. [2]

Weekly Graphic (Kirksville, Missouri) 8 June 1883 p. 3: A Handsome Bouquet. The Graphic sanctum was decorated yesterday with a very large and handsome bouquet of beautiful flowers consisting of three varieties of peonies, roses, honeysuckles, etc., tastefully arranged with ornamental grasses. It was presented by Mr. J.R. Gartrell, and was artistically arrangement and prepared by his little daughter, for which many thanks.

Weekly Graphic (Kirksville, Missouri) 27 April 1888 p. 3: Ocheltree - Gartrell - At the residence of the bride's parents, in this city, Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock. Mr. Ben N. Ocheltree, and Miss Ella May Gartrell. Rev. Keithly officiating.
