Research Notes

The Compendium of American Genealogy: First Families of America, Frederick Adams Virkus, 1942, v. VII, p. 407
David Smutz genealogy has this wife as Mary Rorer.
According to Barbara N. Sharp on 17 Jun 2009:
Mary who was married to Abraham Smutz, according to her father Christian Garver/Gerber/Carver's Estate papers 20 Feb 1802 Washington County, Maryland. This paper lists all of Christian's children and husbands of daughters who were married. Also, six children under 21. John is said to be the oldest and also Laid off the dower of Elizabeth Carver widow of Christian. (2nd wife) I think Mary may be the eldest daughter.
Shirboy on 12 May 2016:
I think Mary Rohrer was a widow of a Martin Rohrer and had underage children when Martin died. The time is in the 1780s in Maryland. ntbl Look for a court record about guardianship for underage children. Most times the mother was not named as the guardian even though she was living. Happened to Jacob Isaac Rohrer's children when he died.

Garver-600 and Garver-163 appear to represent the same person because: Mary Garver, Garver-600 and Garver-163 seems to be a duplicate. She is the daughter of Christian Garver. I propose they be merged. Here is some documentation I found on her.
