Virginia Crowl

ROGERS - Virginia Garvin Crowl, 84, of state Route 7, Rogers, passed away at 7:04 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at home, following a lengthy illness.

Born Oct. 3, 1929, in Rogers, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Hole Garvin. She had been a waitress at several area restaurants at one time.

Survivors include seven daughters: Joy Chismar of Columbiana, Janice Hanna of East Palestine, Peggy Puteet of Canton, Bonnie Shaffer of the home, Jennifer Divjak of Wisconsin, Sarah Denny of Tennessee and Mary Birch of Ocala, Fla.; five sons: Danny Barnhouse of Guam, James Barnhouse of Lisbon, and Nick Divjak Jr. and Robert Divjak, both of Eden, Ohio; 28 grandchildren, as well as great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; three sisters: Betty Knight of East Palestine, Jean Butler of Columbiana, and Esther Scott of East Palestine; and a brother: James Garvin of East Palestine.

Her husband, Robert Crowl, preceded her in death.

A memorial service is planned at a later date. Dawson Funeral Home is handling her arrangements.
